The Josephine Michell Arader Collection is a major collection of historically significant natural history prints from the age of exploration and discovery. These prints and engravings of then newly discovered flora and fauna date from the 16th through the 19th centuries. This collection of approximately 250 pieces is made possible through the generosity of Arader Galleries and numerous private donors and is named in honor of Josephine Michell Arader, a distinguished graduate of Prescott College who facilitated the gift. Now and in the future, pieces from the collection will be on display throughout the Prescott College campus.
In fall 2013, the Prescott College Art Gallery at Sam Hill Warehouse will feature these works in a major exhibition, co-curated with the Prescott College Natural History Institute.
