DESCRIPTION: Tucson herbalist, John Slattery, of Desert Tortoise Botanicals, will be leading an exciting Staff development course in edible, medicinal, and useful plants of the Sonoran Desert.  See what it takes to heal yourself, your family, and friends with what the desert offers!  Salves, tinctures, teas, and poultices will be explored, as well as hands-on experience in processing wild plants.

Skills: Wild plant identification, ethnobotany, wildcrafting.
