Campus Conversations: Lisa and Julie
Wednesday, 26 March, 2014 | 05:00 PM - 06:00 PM
Natural history—the practice of attentiveness to the more-than-human world—manifests in many ways: through scientific research, through visual arts, through philosophy, and more. Campus Conversations is an ongoing series that brings pairs of practitioners from different backgrounds for an informal, facilitated dialogue about the role of natural history in their lives and work. These stimulating conversations will be spontaneous and include opportunities for audience participation.
This month, we feature plant ecologist, Lisa Floyd-Hanna and artist, Julie Comnick. In the past, Lisa and Julie have successfully broke down the art/science barrier by combining their respective classes, botany and botanical illustration.
Campus Conversations is a free event open to the entire community, and hosted by the Natural History Institute in their gallery at 312 Grove Ave., at Prescott College. There will be snacks.
